Care Guide:

• ☀️ Light: Keep your anthurium in bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid harsh Nigerian afternoon sun, which can burn its leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering during rainy or cooler periods, and never leave the pot sitting in water.

• 🌡️ Temperature and humidity: Anthuriums love warmth and humidity. Keep them in a well-ventilated spot away from strong harmattan winds, air conditioners, and extreme heat.

• 🪴 Soil and repotting: Use a loose, well-draining mix of coco coir, orchid bark, and perlite, with drainage holes to prevent root rot.

• 🌱 Feeding and maintenance: Apply a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during active growth. Remove yellow or dead leaves and wipe dusty leaves gently. Flush the pot occasionally to prevent fertilizer salt buildup. 

   

  • Inspect regularly for spider mites, thrips and mealybugs and use your preferred pest management solution

  • Maintain good airflow and avoid persistently wet roots.

  During the rainy season, check the soil before watering because it may stay wet longer. During the dry season, watch for brown leaf edges and drying soil. Anthuriums prefer warmth, humidity, and filtered light
