 Care Guide

☀️ Light: Keep it in bright, indirect light or partial shade. Avoid direct Nigerian afternoon sunlight, which can scorch its leaves.

💧 Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the surface begins to dry, and pour water onto the soil rather than into the centre of the plant to help prevent crown rot.

🌡️ Temperature and humidity: It loves warm, humid conditions. Protect it from hot, dry harmattan winds and provide good airflow.

🪴 Soil and pot: Use a moisture-retentive but well-draining mix containing coco coir, fine bark, and perlite. Choose a pot with drainage holes.

🌱 Feeding and maintenance: Apply diluted liquid fertiliser monthly during active growth. Remove damaged fronds and gently wipe the leaves with a damp cloth.

During the rainy season, check soil moisture before watering. In hotter, drier weather, monitor the soil more frequently to prevent it from drying out completely.
