-
☀️ Light: Provide bright, indirect light near a window. Protect it from Nigeria’s harsh afternoon sun to prevent leaf scorching.
-
💧 Watering: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Ensure excess water drains away, as overwatering can cause root rot.
-
🌡️ Temperature and humidity: Keep it in a warm, humid, well-ventilated spot. During harmattan, protect it from dry winds and sudden temperature changes.
-
🪴 Soil and pot: Use a light, airy mix of coco coir or potting soil with perlite and orchid bark. Choose a small pot with drainage holes.
-
Feeding and pruning: Apply a diluted, balanced liquid fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during active growth. Trim long or sparse vines to encourage fuller growth, and check regularly for mealybugs.
Check the soil more frequently during hot weather, but water less often during rainy periods when the soil stays damp. Avoid leaving the plant in a dark corner or in direct midday sunlight.
