Tillandsia ionantha Cluster + Spanish Moss

Tillandsia cluster (T. ionantha rubra) and Spanish Moss (Tillandsia usneoides). This combination highlights two different forms of bromeliads: a compact, rosette-forming cluster with a cascading, ethereal "hair" that adds texture and movement to a space. 

Tillandsia ionantha 'Rubra' is a popular, colorful air plant known for its green foliage turning vibrant red or ruby hues when blooming, requiring bright, indirect light, good air circulation, and watering via misting or soaking (letting it dry completely).

Care Guide:

Growing this species indoors is possible. However, you will need to make sure it is next to a window with bright light, or supplemental grow light and good air flow. This species will thrive outside under bright, but indirect sunlight. Under a tree, verandah, or in a pergola are all great locations for this plant. 

Water once a day during the dry season and in the rainy season water if it hasn't rained in 2 days. If you are growing indoors, water twice a week and each time you water take it outdoors to dry out completely. Ensure the location you choose has good air flow to help the plant dry out between watering and is never planted in soil.
